As a self taught ceramic artist, I use the ancient technique of hand building.

Exploring the relationship between nature and clay bodies, my work is a celebration of the beauty and resilience of the natural world.

I  use various materials, including found objects, glass, and natural elements like leaves, often working with these organic forms and incorporating them into the clay by impression or technique.

Inspiration for my clay pictures comes from a few of my favourite Artists, including Lempika, Picasso, Matiise and Modigliani.

Growing gourds and squashes

I'm always learning new techniques, and love a challenge!

As I hand build, rather than use a wheel, my work is rustic and not so perfect,

I prefer hand building over the wheel, and as my work is not mass produced, it makes each piece original and unique in design.

I tend to make what I like

I hope you like it too!
