"Viva la Vida" is the title of Frida Kahlo's last painting, a still life of watermelons she completed just eight days before her death in 1954. The phrase, meaning "Long live life,"

This is the third Frida mug I’ve made, and my favourite so far.

Hand built using the slab method and painted in black underglaze. The design is scratched away using the sgraffito method and once bisque fired a light transparent finish on the outside gives the sheen.

The inside is glazed with a mixture of stoneware to make this mug dishwasher safe.

A perfect gift for art lovers.

Ceramics is the art of making three dimensional objects from clay.

The choice of clay and the techniques used to shape, decorate, glaze and fire it

will all have an impact on the final piece.
